On Sunday, the 18th of October, We held our second annual Food & Wine Event. Our main aim for the event this year, was to have a bigger event and utilize all the room we have available to us. We successfully achieved this with setting up a marquee in our garden area which is located off the back of our spectacular marquee room.

We managed to increase the amount of wineries & food stalls in attendance & even organised food trucks to help with the demand for food readily available to purchase.

At an extremely low price of just $30 a ticket, you were able to taste some of Australia’s Finest Wines from Penfolds, Wynn’s, Wolf Blass, Seppelt, Saltram, Coldstream Hills, St Huberts, Squeling Pig, Brown Brothers, Snobs Creek, and even some local wineries like Ganga Wines and Arundel Farm Estate Wines. We had Two Birds beer brewers attend also. All of these, alongside a range of magnificent local food producers from salts & nuts to breads & baked goods to cheeses & many more.

With the sun blaring on our beautiful gardenswe had the amazing Undercover Duo rocking it who play regularly on friday nights in our Vinery. All ticket holders could enjoy tasting their wines & enjoying the produce whilst sitting back & listening to some amazing music. The parents were able to enjoy their wine tasting, knowing that the wonderful staff at the Keilor Hotel were taking good care of their kids in our dedicated kids area. We had two bouncing castles running along side coloring in competitions and face paintings.

We had a Vintec Wine Fridge valued at $650 available for all entrants to win on the day. The lucky winner was Tess Moseley. A big congratulations goes out to her. There was also a Luncheon at Magill Estate valued at $550 available to win and the lucky winner of this was Vicky Yuan. A big congratulations goes out to her.

In our Vinery, we had a pop-up bottle shop displaying all the tasting wines and were available to purchase with huge savings to be had.

For those who wanted to enjoy a more extravagant experience, we had our VIP area in our new state-of-the-art, Taste Room. On arrival at 12pm, you were greeted and seated in the Taste Room with a glass of Penfolds Bin 51 Riesling. Shortly after this, the 5 Course Degustation Luncheon began which was perfectly created by our Head Chef, Lenny Numa and was executed by our Functions & Bistro Manager, Joe Murphy. To complement each exquisite course, you had a range of Penfolds Finest Collection which were Bin 311, Bin 28, Bin 389, St Henri and RWT. After the degustation, all VIP guests were treated to a Vintage Port Tasting in our 160 year old Grange Cellar. To enjoy this truly amazing experience, tickets were priced at $95 which also allowed you entry to the General Admission area to taste all the other amazing wines we had to offer.
